Ruby on Rails Developer / Iowa City, IA

We’re looking for someone with at least 3 years experience building secure web applications. This person will assist us in building a focused portfolio of administrative applications supporting the research enterprise at The University of Iowa.

This full-time temporary begins immediately, and will last for a minimum of five months.

Qualifications:

• Object oriented analysis, design and programming experience
• Experience with relational database design theory and SQL query languages
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Extra consideration will be given to those with Ruby on Rails, and Agile development experience. Be prepared to impress us with a sample of your best work.

The University of Iowa, Research Information Systems is the central IT unit under the Office of the VP for Research at the University of Iowa.

Salary: Commensurate ($25-$35/hr)
